June 2024 Volunteer Project
Sound Painting Solutions recently completed a volunteer project for Mary’s Place Seattle! We are grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to an amazing nonprofit like this one. As stated on their website, “The Mary’s Place mission is to ensure that no child sleeps outside by centering equity and opportunity for women and families.” We are always on the lookout for ways that we can give back to the community. When we heard that Mary’s Place was in need of a new TikTok wall we couldn’t wait to help!
Painting for Mary’s Place
When we heard that Mary’s Place was needing assistance in painting a wall for their social media content we couldn’t wait to get involved. Sound Painting Solutions owner Jeff and senior crew lead Kevin showed up ready to complete the perfect paint job.
What is a TikTok Wall?
A TikTok wall is a wall painted green that can act as a green screen for videos. Businesses and non-profits who utilize social media as a part of their marketing strategy may be familiar with the logistics that go into creating one of these videos. You need to have a good backdrop, a script, and a plan to make sure you target specific keywords so that you show up in front of the right people. Mary’s Place was looking for a way to simplify their content creation and have a backdrop available to them in house. That’s what led them to the idea of installing a TikTok wall and where Sound Painting Solutions was able to help.
The Process
The process for painting their TikTok wall started with figuring out what green paint would be the best choice for the job. After some research, we found the perfect bright green that would work well to act as a green screen for their videos.
The painting process was fairly simple due to the fact that they only needed us to paint a small section of the wall. Jeff and Kevin showed up early to start prepping the wall before the bright paint could be applied. After taping off the section, they applied a coat of primer and then waited for that to dry. After that, all it took as applying two coats of this fun green before they were finished!
Sound Painting Solutions Commitment
Projects like this one can be fairly simple when professionals come in to do the job. This same painting project could take a novice multiple days to complete, but our experienced painters were able to finish this up in one afternoon. At Sound Painting Solutions, we are always seeking opportunities to give back to the community. Supporting organizations like Mary’s Place holds special significance for us.
